Hozah is a smart cities company that is changing the face of vehicle-based mobility. Our focus is currently on parking payments: our ANPR cameras ‘see’ drivers entering and exiting Hozah-enabled car parks and then bills them automatically. Not only do we make paying for parking fully automatic, we also offer a no parking fine guarantee. Imagine a world without parking fines; how awesome would that be?! 

We are a fully-funded company with live customers across the UK looking to expand our highly experienced technical team, which is now based remotely in the UK. 

You: 

We are looking for a software engineer who is eager to learn about new technologies with a desire for continuous improvement. You should care first and foremost about understanding the business impact of the work you do. The company is a fast-moving start-up so you should be able to adapt to change quickly. 

We are primarily looking for a senior developer but are also separately interested in hiring a mid-level developer. 

Must haves: 

  • Automated testing 
  • Agile/Lean/Kanban understanding 
  • Successful communication skills with team members to find the most appropriate solution to a problem 
  • Follows Clean Code principles 
  • Ability to communicate technical constraints to non-technical people 
  • Desire to work across the entire software lifecycle 
  • DevOps mindset 
  • Docker 
  • Experience developing with third party APIs 
  • JVM experience

  • Prior Kotlin experience 
  • ReactJS 
  • Google Cloud Platform
