Bournemouth University needed a smarter way to manage parking across its busy, multi-site campus. Bournemouth University (BU), a sprawling, multi-site campus on the South Coast, was no exception.
Despite its scale and complexity, BU’s existing permit and ANPR system was falling short of expectations. Staff, students (many of whom were VAT-exempt), and visitors each had different needs, but the system wasn’t flexible enough to meet them. Manual processes caused delays, uneven camera coverage created inconsistencies, and the administrative burden was growing.
